Clermont County, Ohio

Clermont County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States, just east of Cincinnati. As of 2000, the population was 177,977, and estimated at 190,589 in 2005. Its county seat is Batavia.⁶ The county is named either for a place in France or for the French for "clear mountain", though there are no mountains here.^[1]
