Malleability is a physical property of metals and metalloids, or generally of any kind of matter. A malleable metal can easily be deformed, especially by hammering or rolling, without cracking. Malleability is an important issue in, for example, stamping and form pressing materials such as metals and plastics. Gold is the most malleable metal, followed by aluminium.
